Welcome to Grandha Vahak. These Subscription Terms ("Subscription Terms") govern the purchase, activation, renewal, management, and use of all subscription plans offered through the Grandha Vahak Platform.
Grandha Vahak provides technology-enabled access to a nationwide physical book borrowing ecosystem through its Individual, Institutional, Organization (CSR), and Community subscription programs. Each subscription grants eligible Members access to the benefits associated with their selected Subscription Plan, subject to these Subscription Terms and the applicable Membership Plan.
By purchasing, activating, renewing, or continuing a Grandha Vahak subscription, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be legally bound by these Subscription Terms, together with the Membership Agreement, Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy, Refund & Cancellation Policy, Shipping & Delivery Policy, and all other policies published on the official Grandha Vahak Platform, each of which forms an integral part of your contractual relationship with Grandha Vahak.

If you do not agree to these Subscription Terms, you should not purchase, activate, renew, or continue using a Grandha Vahak subscription.
Grandha Vahak reserves the right to revise or update these Subscription Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services, operational requirements, legal obligations, or business practices. Updated versions shall become effective upon publication on the official Grandha Vahak Platform unless otherwise stated. Continued use of the subscription after such updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Subscription Terms.
These Subscription Terms are intended to ensure a transparent, fair, and consistent subscription experience while supporting Grandha Vahak's mission of making quality books accessible to individuals, educational institutions, organizations, and communities across India.
Grandha Vahak offers a variety of Subscription Plans designed to meet the reading requirements of individuals, educational institutions, organizations, and communities. Each Subscription Plan specifies the applicable Subscription Fee, Refundable Caution Deposit, Book Borrowing Limit, Borrowing Period, Membership Validity, and other associated benefits.
The complete details of all available Subscription Plans are set out in Schedule A – Subscription Plans, which forms an integral part of these Subscription Terms.
Grandha Vahak reserves the right to introduce, modify, replace, or discontinue any Subscription Plan, its pricing, features, or eligibility criteria at its sole discretion. Such changes shall generally apply prospectively and shall not adversely affect an active subscription unless otherwise required by law or expressly communicated to the Subscriber.
Individual Subscription Plans are intended for personal use by individual Members who wish to borrow physical books through the Grandha Vahak Platform.
Each plan includes a specified Subscription Fee, Refundable Caution Deposit, borrowing limit, borrowing period, and validity as detailed in Schedule A.
Institutional Subscription Plans are designed for schools, colleges, universities, educational institutions, libraries, and other academic organizations.
These plans enable institutions to provide structured access to books for students and staff, subject to the applicable Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ), subscription requirements, and any additional terms published by Grandha Vahak.
Community Subscription Plans are intended for residential communities, book clubs, social groups, non-profit organizations, and similar community-based initiatives that aim to promote reading among their members.
These plans may include community reading programs, reading events, book clubs, GV Readers' Collective, GV Community Reading Boxes, and other community engagement initiatives offered by Grandha Vahak.
Organization (CSR) Subscription Plans are designed for companies, corporate entities, charitable organizations, trusts, foundations, and other institutions wishing to support reading initiatives through their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) or social impact programs.
These plans enable organizations to sponsor memberships and provide access to books for schools, colleges, libraries, rural communities, underserved regions, and other eligible beneficiaries in accordance with the applicable program guidelines.

are provided in Schedule A – Subscription Plans, which forms an integral part of these Subscription Terms.
In the event of any inconsistency between these Subscription Terms and Schedule A, the information published in the latest version of Schedule A shall prevail with respect to plan-specific pricing, benefits, and specifications.
Each Grandha Vahak Subscription Plan requires payment of the applicable Subscription Fee and, where applicable, a Refundable Caution Deposit prior to activation of the subscription.
All fees payable under a Subscription Plan shall be clearly displayed on the Grandha Vahak Platform before the Subscriber completes the payment.
The Subscription Fee grants the Subscriber access to the benefits and services associated with the selected Subscription Plan for its specified validity period.
Unless otherwise required by applicable law or expressly approved by Grandha Vahak under its Refund & Cancellation Policy, the Subscription Fee is non-refundable once the subscription has been successfully activated.
Certain Subscription Plans require payment of a Refundable Caution Deposit, which serves as a security deposit against outstanding obligations arising from the use of the Grandha Vahak Services.
Upon cancellation of the subscription, the remaining balance of the Caution Deposit, after adjustment of any applicable overdue charges, replacement costs, damages, penalties, or other lawful deductions, shall be refunded in accordance with the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
All applicable Goods and Services Tax (GST) and other statutory taxes shall be charged in accordance with the prevailing laws of the Republic of India.
Where GST is applicable, the amount payable shall be clearly indicated on the order summary, tax invoice, or payment receipt provided to the Subscriber.
Grandha Vahak is committed to maintaining fair, transparent, and straightforward pricing.
Before confirming any payment, Subscribers will be provided with a clear breakdown of:
Subscribers will have the opportunity to review the payment details before completing the transaction.
Grandha Vahak does not impose hidden fees or undisclosed charges.
Subscribers shall pay only the amount displayed and confirmed during the checkout process, together with any applicable taxes that are clearly disclosed before payment.
Grandha Vahak does not levy:
No additional amount will be collected from the Subscriber unless it has been clearly communicated and accepted prior to the transaction.
Online payments are securely processed through authorized third-party payment service providers, including Razorpay, while eligible offline card payments may be processed through Federal Bank Point-of-Sale (POS) terminals or other payment channels approved by Grandha Vahak.
Any payment gateway fees, transaction processing charges, merchant commissions, or similar charges imposed by Grandha Vahak's authorized payment partners shall be borne by Grandha Vahak and shall not be passed on to the Subscriber, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
Grandha Vahak does not store Subscribers' debit card details, credit card details, CVV, UPI PIN, net banking credentials, or other sensitive payment information. Such information is processed securely by the respective authorized payment service providers in accordance with their security standards and privacy policies.
Note: The applicable Subscription Fee, Refundable Caution Deposit, taxes, and included benefits for each Subscription Plan are specified in Schedule A – Subscription Plans, which forms an integral part of these Subscription Terms.
A Grandha Vahak subscription becomes effective only after successful registration, verification (where applicable), and receipt of the applicable Subscription Fee and Refundable Caution Deposit. The subscription remains valid for the duration of the selected Subscription Plan unless suspended, terminated, or cancelled in accordance with these Subscription Terms or other applicable Grandha Vahak policies.
A Subscription shall be activated only after all of the following conditions have been successfully completed:
Grandha Vahak reserves the right to delay or decline activation where verification is incomplete, payment fails, or any eligibility requirement is not satisfied.
The Activation Date is the date on which Grandha Vahak officially activates the Subscription and confirms that the Member is eligible to access the benefits associated with the selected Subscription Plan.
The Activation Date shall be recorded in the Member's account and shall serve as the official reference date for calculating the Membership Validity, borrowing privileges, renewal eligibility, and other applicable subscription benefits.
Membership benefits commence from the Activation Date, regardless of whether the Member immediately borrows a book or uses any of the available Services.
The Subscription Validity shall continue to run from the Activation Date and shall not be extended due to delayed usage, inactivity, or non-utilization of the Membership by the Subscriber.
Each Subscription Plan remains valid for the period specified in Schedule A – Subscription Plans, commencing from the Activation Date.
During the validity period, eligible Members may access the benefits associated with their selected Subscription Plan, subject to this Agreement and all applicable Grandha Vahak policies.
The validity period cannot be transferred to another person, organization, or Membership account unless expressly approved in writing by Grandha Vahak.
A Subscription shall automatically expire upon completion of its applicable validity period unless it is renewed in accordance with the prevailing Subscription Terms.
Upon expiry of the Subscription:
Expiry of a Subscription does not affect any rights, obligations, liabilities, or outstanding responsibilities that arose before the date of expiry.
Note: The validity period applicable to each Subscription Plan is specified in Schedule A – Subscription Plans, which forms an integral part of these Subscription Terms.
Subscribers are responsible for monitoring the validity of their Subscription and ensuring timely renewal if they wish to continue enjoying the benefits of the Grandha Vahak Services.
A Subscription may be renewed before or after its expiry by selecting an eligible Subscription Plan and paying the applicable Subscription Fee and any other charges, if applicable.
Renewal shall become effective only upon successful payment, verification (where required), and confirmation by Grandha Vahak.
Renewal of a Subscription does not alter or waive any outstanding obligations, including overdue books, penalties, damages, replacement costs, or other lawful charges.
A Subscription shall automatically expire upon completion of its validity period as specified under the applicable Subscription Plan.
Once a Subscription has expired, the Member shall no longer be entitled to enjoy the benefits associated with the Subscription until it has been successfully renewed.
Expiry of a Subscription does not relieve the Member of any outstanding obligations or liabilities arising before the expiry date.
Grandha Vahak follows a strict no-grace-period policy.
Unless expressly required by applicable law or approved in writing by Grandha Vahak, no grace period shall be provided for:
All timelines published by Grandha Vahak are final and shall be strictly observed by Members.
Upon expiry of a Subscription:
Renewing an expired Subscription does not automatically waive or remove any outstanding obligations, penalties, or liabilities incurred before or during the period of expiry.
Grandha Vahak offers flexibility for Members to upgrade or downgrade their Subscription Plans, subject to the terms set forth in this section and the availability of the selected Subscription Plan.
Members may upgrade their Subscription Plan at any time during the active Subscription period by selecting a higher-tier eligible plan available on the Grandha Vahak Platform.
The upgraded plan shall become effective only after:
Upon activation of the upgraded plan, the Member shall be entitled to the benefits of the upgraded Subscription Plan for the remainder of the applicable subscription period or as otherwise communicated by Grandha Vahak.
Members may request to downgrade their Subscription Plan only at the time of renewal.
Downgrades shall not be processed during an active Subscription period unless expressly approved by Grandha Vahak under exceptional circumstances.
The downgraded plan shall become effective only upon successful renewal of the Subscription.
When upgrading a Subscription Plan, the Member shall pay the applicable difference in the Subscription Fee between the current plan and the selected upgraded plan, as determined by Grandha Vahak's prevailing pricing.
No refund, credit, or adjustment of the Subscription Fee shall be provided for voluntary downgrades during an active Subscription period.
Where the upgraded Subscription Plan requires a higher Refundable Caution Deposit, the Member shall pay the applicable difference before the upgrade is activated.
Where a downgraded plan requires a lower Refundable Caution Deposit, any eligible refundable balance shall be adjusted or refunded in accordance with the Refund & Cancellation Policy and Grandha Vahak's prevailing operational procedures, after verification that there are no outstanding obligations.
A Subscriber may cancel their Grandha Vahak Subscription in accordance with these Subscription Terms and the Grandha Vahak Refund & Cancellation Policy. Cancellation of a Subscription does not automatically relieve the Subscriber of any outstanding obligations arising prior to the effective date of cancellation.
A Subscription may be cancelled only after the completion of one hundred (100) calendar days from the Subscription Activation Date.
Cancellation requests submitted before the completion of the 100-day period shall not be processed, except where otherwise required by applicable law or expressly approved by Grandha Vahak.
Subscribers wishing to cancel their Subscription shall submit a cancellation request through the Grandha Vahak Support Center (Support Ticket), which is the preferred method of communication.
Where the Support Center is temporarily unavailable, Subscribers may submit their request through the designated official support email published on the Grandha Vahak Platform.
A cancellation request shall be considered complete only after:
The effective date of cancellation shall be the date on which Grandha Vahak confirms the successful completion of the cancellation process.
The refund of any Subscription Fee or Refundable Caution Deposit shall be governed exclusively by the Grandha Vahak Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms an integral part of these Subscription Terms.
Subscribers are encouraged to review the Refund & Cancellation Policy for complete details regarding eligibility, deductions, processing timelines, and refund procedures.
Before a Subscription can be cancelled, the Subscriber must fulfill all outstanding obligations, including but not limited to:
Grandha Vahak reserves the right to deduct any outstanding amounts from the Subscriber's Refundable Caution Deposit, where applicable, before processing the remaining refundable balance.
Cancellation of a Subscription shall not affect any rights, liabilities, obligations, or claims that arose prior to the effective date of cancellation.
Grandha Vahak reserves the right to temporarily suspend a Subscription, in whole or in part, if it reasonably believes that such action is necessary to protect its Members, library partners, logistics partners, operations, assets, or the integrity of the Grandha Vahak Platform.
A suspension may be imposed with or without prior notice where permitted by applicable law or where immediate action is necessary.
A Subscription may be suspended if the Subscriber has any outstanding financial obligations, including but not limited to:
The Subscription may remain suspended until all outstanding amounts have been fully settled.
Grandha Vahak may suspend a Subscription where a Subscriber misuses the Services, including but not limited to:
A Subscription may be suspended immediately where Grandha Vahak reasonably suspects:
Grandha Vahak may cooperate with law enforcement agencies or regulatory authorities where required by applicable law.
Grandha Vahak may suspend a Subscription where the Subscriber:
A Subscription may be suspended where a Subscriber violates:
During the period of suspension, Grandha Vahak may, at its discretion:
Suspension of a Subscription shall not:
Where the reason for suspension is resolved to the satisfaction of Grandha Vahak, the Subscription may be reinstated. However, Grandha Vahak reserves the right to permanently terminate the Subscription or Membership where the breach is serious, repeated, fraudulent, unlawful, or otherwise justifies termination under the applicable agreements.
Grandha Vahak continually strives to improve its Services and may, from time to time, revise or update its Subscription Plans to reflect operational requirements, market conditions, technological advancements, legal obligations, or business needs.
Grandha Vahak reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to:
Unless otherwise required by applicable law, expressly stated by Grandha Vahak, or accepted by the Subscriber, changes to Subscription Plans shall not affect an active Subscription during its current validity period.
Subscribers who have already purchased and activated a Subscription shall continue to receive the benefits of their selected Subscription Plan until its scheduled expiry date, subject to compliance with these Subscription Terms and all applicable Grandha Vahak policies.
Any revised pricing, Subscription Plans, benefits, or eligibility criteria shall generally apply to:
Subscribers will have the opportunity to review the applicable Subscription Plan and pricing before completing a renewal or purchasing a new Subscription.
Where reasonably practicable, Grandha Vahak will publish updates to Subscription Plans on the official Grandha Vahak Platform and may notify Subscribers through the Platform, email, mobile application, SMS, or other official communication channels.
Continued use, renewal, or purchase of a Subscription after the effective date of such changes shall constitute acceptance of the revised Subscription Terms and the applicable Subscription Plan.
Nothing in this section limits Grandha Vahak's right to make immediate changes where such changes are required to comply with applicable laws, regulatory requirements, governmental directions, court orders, or other legal obligations.
A Grandha Vahak Subscription provides eligible Members with access to the benefits associated with their selected Subscription Plan. However, a Subscription does not constitute a guarantee that every Service, book, or feature will always be available at all times.
The availability of Subscription benefits is subject to inventory, operational capacity, logistics, maintenance requirements, and other factors beyond Grandha Vahak's reasonable control.
While Grandha Vahak continuously expands and maintains its library network, a Subscription does not guarantee the availability of every book, title, edition, language, author, or publication at any particular time.
Book availability may vary due to:
Grandha Vahak may recommend alternative editions, similar titles, or place a Member's request in a waiting queue where applicable.
Grandha Vahak makes reasonable efforts to provide reliable access to its Platform and Services. However, continuous or uninterrupted availability cannot be guaranteed.
Services may occasionally be interrupted due to:
Such interruptions shall not constitute a breach of these Subscription Terms.
Grandha Vahak strives to deliver books as quickly as possible and has successfully completed deliveries ranging from same-day to multi-day delivery in many locations.
However, same-day, next-day, or delivery within any specific timeframe is not guaranteed unless expressly confirmed by Grandha Vahak in writing.

The availability and delivery of Subscription benefits are subject to Grandha Vahak's operational requirements, including but not limited to:
Grandha Vahak reserves the right to temporarily suspend, modify, substitute, postpone, or discontinue any Subscription benefit where reasonably necessary for operational, technical, legal, safety, or business reasons.
Except where required by applicable law, Members shall not be entitled to compensation, damages, refunds, credits, or extensions of Subscription validity solely because:
Nothing in this section limits any statutory rights available to Members under the applicable laws of the Republic of India.
These Subscription Terms shall be governed by, interpreted, and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of India, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
Grandha Vahak and the Subscriber agree to make reasonable efforts to resolve any dispute, claim, or disagreement arising out of or relating to these Subscription Terms through good-faith discussions and mutual consultation before initiating formal legal proceedings.
If a dispute cannot be resolved amicably, it shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts and tribunals situated in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.
Where applicable under law, any appeal or proceeding arising from such dispute shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the High Court of Judicature at Madras (Madras High Court).
Nothing in these Subscription Terms shall prevent Grandha Vahak from seeking interim, injunctive, equitable, or other urgent relief before any court or authority of competent jurisdiction where such relief is necessary to protect its rights, intellectual property, confidential information, assets, business operations, or legal interests.

The Subscriber further agrees to comply with all applicable laws and to use the Grandha Vahak Services responsibly, ethically, and in accordance with the rules governing the Grandha Vahak reading ecosystem.

Grandha Vahak operates multiple digital platforms to serve different categories of Members. While each platform is designed for a specific audience, all platforms are owned, operated, and managed by Grandha Vahak and are governed by the applicable legal agreements and policies published on the respective platform.
The features, services, and Subscription Plans available may vary depending on the platform and the Member's selected Subscription Plan.
